Quest summary: Collect the light from the Will-o'-the-Wisps with the Deluminator, use it to charge the Necromancer's Lantern, and return to Patric de Desirae. Rewards Money: 32 32 Quest start: While the others panicked and counted their losses, those of us in our right minds got to work. The House de Desirae became famous for its necromancy and that is exactly what will help us in this hour of need. Will-o'-the-wisps live in the forest to the east of here. In case you're not familiar with them, they're magical creatures - fragments of the souls of dead Elves, people… and others. The power from these beings is often used in necromancy, and that's exactly the resource I intend to use now. I'm sure that the fragments of departed souls will be better sources of energy for our lanterns than Astral energy cells. Help me to kill a few will-o'-the-wisps and collect their energy by using this trap I'll give you. Once it's full, try using it to light the lantern right next to me! We'll see what the darkness thinks about a flaming soul! Quest check: We must fight fire with fire! Everything that's happening here is caused by magic and only magic can save us from the forces of darkness! Quest finished: What a silly mistake! I have a way to go before I reach Prince Dakkar's level… Who is Dakkar?! The Prince was the best necromancer in history until his disappearance! We must get back to the matters at hand, however. Bats are flocking to the wandering lights like moths! That's not quite what I expected but on the other hand, that indicates that their nature is also related to necromancy. Interesting… |
